Drawing on the folkloric/mythic tradition of women being able to shape shift – an advantageous form as opposed to an imposed punishment; this metamorphosis with birds allows the occupation of a ‘between’ space. These privileged vantage points offer the potential to interfere with an environment at will in a way which could be playful or malevolent.
